Prostat Enükleasyonunda Lazer Savaşları : Holmium vs Thulium Lazer

Abstract

Giriş: Benign Prostat Hiperplazisi(BPH)cerrahi tedavisinde lazer kullanımı TUR P ‘ye alternatif bir minimal invaziv
yaklaşım olarak popülerlik kazanmıştır. Hem Holmium hem de Thulium lazer ile prostat enükleasyonu , prostat
boyutundan bağımsız yöntemler olarak cerrahi tedavisinde düşük perioperatif ve postoperatif komplikasyonlara
ve iyi cerrahi sonuçları ile öne çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Holmium ve Thulium lazerlerin prostat enükleasyonundaki
etkinliklerini literatür eşliğinde tartışmayı amaçladık.
Gereç ve Yöntem: PubMED/Medline veritabanında ‘’holmium’’ ya da ‘’ thulium’’ VE ‘’ benign prostat hiperplazisi’’
ya da ‘’ BPH’’ sözcükleri kullanılarak 2009-2019 arasındaki son 10 yılın yayınlarında arama gerçekleştirildi. HoLEP ve
ThuVEP/ ThuLEP içeren İngilizce dilindeki full text yayınlar çalışmaya dahil edildi.
Sonuç: HoLEP ve ThuLEP kabul edilebilir sonuçları olan TUR P ‘ye ve açık prostatetktomiye alternatif minimal invaziv
cerrahi yöntemleridir. HoLEP ve ThuLEP ‘in etkinlik,güvenlik ve komplikasyonlarının iyi bilinmesi bu cerrahilere olan
ilgiyi arttırmayı ve daha iyi sonuçlara ulaşmayı sağlayacaktır.

Laser Wars in Prostate Enucleation: Holmium vs Thulium Laser

Abstract

Introduction: The use of lasers in surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) has gained popularity

as a minimally invasive approach to TURP. Prostate enucleation with both Holmium and Thulium lasers has low

perioperative and postoperative complications and good surgical results. In this study, we aimed to discuss the

efficacy of Holmium and Thulium lasers in provstate enucleation in the light of literature.

Matherials and Methods: The PubMED / Medline database was searched in the publications of the last 10 years

between 2009-2019 using the words ’’ holmium’ ’or’’thulium ’’ AND ’’ benign prostatic hyperplasia’ ’or’’ BPH ’.

Conclusion: HoLEP and ThuLEP are minimally invasive surgical methods alternative to TUR P and open

prostatetectomy with acceptable results. Understanding of the efficacy, safety, and complications of HoLEP and

ThuLEP will increase the interest in these surgeries and achieve better outcomes.
