Abstract
Herhangi bir uyaran olmaksızın ortaya
çıkan fazla su içme durumu olan psikojenik polidipsi, genellikle psikiyatrik
hastalıkları olan kişilerde görülen ve su intoksikasyonu gelişirse hiponatremiye
neden olabilen bir klinik tablodur. Bu vaka ile şizofreni hastalığı olan ve
acil servise bilinçte bozulma nedeniyle getirilen bir hasta sunularak nadir
görülen psikojenik polidipsi sonucu görülen su intoksikasyonuna dikkat çekmek
amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract
Psychogenic polydipsia, a disorder of excessive
water drinking, is most seen in patients with psychiatric diseases. If it
progress to water intoxication, hyponatremia can be seen in patients. We
present to this case which includes a patient with schizophrenia who came to our department
of emergency medicine withunconsciousness. We aimed to take
attention into water intoxication due to psychogenic polydipsia.
