CAN EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BE A SOLUTION FOR IMPROVING WORKPLACE HEALTH? A CASE OF TURKEY

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and its role in employee morale and productivity from the perspective of the managers. The data was collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews. In this study, the nature of the methodology is exploratory. Therefore, in the methodology, part researcher targeted to interview six people in charge of the Employee Assistance Program. The main objective is to understand the role of the Employee Assistance Program on Employees' "Morale and Productivity". On the other hand, there are higher chances of increasing productivity when employees have high morale. After the interviews, the opinions of managers were analyzed through NVIVO 12 program. The main findings indicate that EAP is critical for improving workplace health.
