Abstract

Year 2023, Volume: 8 Issue: 1, 140 - 145, 31.03.2023

Abstract

In this study, condition factor values, length-weight and length-length relationships of 202 chub, Squalius orientalis Heckel, 1847 individuals sampled from Harşit Stream were determined. Sex ratio (female:male) of population was calculated as 1.00:1.26. The total length and weight values of the samples were determined as 9.0-30.3 cm and 6.54-325.26 g, respectively. Length-weight relationship was calculated as W=0.0056xTB3,227 (r2=0.995) for all specimens. According to b value of length-weight relationship, the types of growth for all individulas was positive allometric in Squalius orientalis. There was no statistical difference in mean condition factor between females and males (P>0.05). The mean condition factor value was 1.004±0.0067 for entire population. All relationships among total length, fork length and standard length were highly significant (P<0.001).
