Year 2020, Volume: 3 Issue: 2, 190 - 192, 19.03.2020

Abstract

Although tick is rarely seen in the external auditory
canal, it may cause pain and tinnitus in the ear. In addition, it is also
important in terms of causing Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever disease. In this
report, we presented the treatment of a 60-year-old patient who was admitted to
the Emergency Service with pain in the left ear and who had a tick in the
external auditory canal together with literature data. Removing he tick from
the external ear canal with the alligator forceps in a careful manner is important
in terms of preventing many diseases that might occur due to the tick.
