Bir Alaca Doğanda (Falco Peregrinus) Açık Humerus Kırığı ve Retrograd Açılı Pin Sağaltımı

Abstract

Bu olgu sunumunda doğan ailesinden yırtıcı bir kuş olan falco peregrinus’da (alaca doğan) görülen açık humerus kırığı ve sağaltımının sunulması amaçlanmaktadır. Yırtıcı kuşlar özellikle kış aylarında yaşanan besin kıtlığı nedeniyle doğal habitatından uzaklaşmakta ve toplumsal alanlara daha çok yaklaşarak gerek avcılık gerekse oluşan kazalar sebebiyle halk eline düşmektedir. Görülen olguların çoğunluğu trafik kazaları veya ateşli silah yaralanmaları sonucunda oluşan çeşitli kemik kırıklarla bulunmakta ve kliniğimize getirilmektedir. Bu olgu sunumunda halk elinde bulunan bir alaca doğanın açık humerus kırığının açılı pinlerle sağaltımı, bakımı ve doğaya geri kazandırılması ile ilgili çalışmamız klinik meslekdaşlarımızın bilgisine sunulmaktadır.

Compound Humerus Fracture and Angled Retrograde Pin Treatment in a Barbary Falcon (Falco Peregrinus)

Abstract

In this case report, the representation of the treatment of a fresh compound fracture were aimed in a barbary falcon (falco peregrinus). Especially in winter seasons, wild raptors go beyond their natural habitat due to the food exiguity and therefore may interfere with social areas. The vast amount of cases brought to clinics are found with fractures caused by traffic accidents or gun shot wounds of hunters. This case report was prepared for clinical practitioners in the treatment and the rehabilitation of a compound fracture of humerus with angled pins in a peregrine falcon.
