Abstract

Drug associated acute pancreatitis is uncommon entity but may arise with high morbidity and mortality. Pancreatitis due to imatinib use is rarely seen in the literature. A 70-year old female patient presented to our clinic with typical abdominal pain for of acute pancreatitis, 3 times higher amylase and lipase values than the upper limits. She had been receiving imatinib treatment for two years for gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). Our case who had no other reason to explain the development of acute pancreatitis is presented because of the rare occurence of pancreatitis due to imatinib use in the literature.

İmatinib ilişkili akut pankreatit: Nadir görülen bir olgu

Year 2020, Volume: 13 Issue: 1, 155 - 157, 30.04.2020

Abstract

İlaç ilişkili akut pankreatit nadir görülmekle birlikte yüksek morbitite ve mortaliteyle seyredebilir. Literatürde İmatinib kullanımına bağlı gelişen pankreatit olgusuna çok az rastlanmaktadır. Kuşak tarzında akut pankreatit için tipik karın ağrısı, normal üst sınırlardan üç kat yüksek amilaz ve lipaz değerleriyle kliniğimize başvuran yetmiş yaşındaki kadın hasta, gastrointestinal stromal tümör (GİST) nedeniyle iki yıldır imatinib tedavisi almaktaydı. Akut pankreatit gelişimini açıklayacak başka bir neden saptanmayan olgumuz, literatürde İmatinib kullanımına bağlı pankreatite çok ender rastlanması nedeniyle sunulmuştur.
