Objective: The purpose of this research was to investigate intergenerational analysis of certain characteristics related to women’s pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum processes, as well as their perceptions of body privacy. Method: The research was carried out descriptively/cross-sectionally between September 2022 and May 2023. The population of the study consisted of women who applied to gynecology outpatient clinics between these dates, and 300 women (n= 100 for each generation) in the sample of BP, X and Y generations. The data of the research were collected by face-to-face interview method with "Personal Information Form and Body Privacy Scale in Gynecology and Obstetrics". Results: In the study, it was found that the marriage and first gestational ages of the women in the BP generation were earlier than those in the X and Y generations, and the number of pregnancies, unplanned pregnancies and total births was higher. The average total score of the Body Privacy Scale in Gynecology and Obstetrics was 4.76±0.70 for the BP generation women, 4.28±0.74 for the X generation, 4.18±0.72 for the Y generation. It was determined that the BP generation women had higher body privacy perception. Conclusion: It has been determined that there are some intergenerational differences in the characteristics of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum process and in the perception of body privacy in women over time. It is important for health professionals to care about women's perceptions of body privacy, to know the characteristics of all generations, to be sensitive to intergenerational differences, and to provide necessary care and counseling services to women based on these differences.
