Lumbar Synovial Cyst. A Case Report and Literature Review

Year 2018, Volume: 5 Issue: 3, 42 - 45, 04.12.2018

Abstract

Lumbar intraspinal
synovial cysts (LISK) are rare and benign lesions that usually develop due to
lumbar segmental instability. LISK must be treated because they cause low back
pain, radiculopathy, and neurological deficits. It should not be forgotten that
Lomber surgical decompression may cause instability and synovial cysts. It is
necessary to follow minimal invasive surgery approaches and fusion surgery
should be performed in cases with instability in order to prevent this
situation.

Lomber Sinovial Kist. Vaka Takdimi ve Literatür Gözden Geçirme

Year 2018, Volume: 5 Issue: 3, 42 - 45, 04.12.2018

Abstract

Lomber intraspinal sinovial kistler (LISK),
nadir görülen, genellikle lomber vertebra segmentindeki instabilite nedeniyle
gelişen benign lezyonlardır. LISK, sebep olduğu bel ağrısı, radikülopati ve
nörolojik defisitler nedeniyle tedavi edilmelidirler. Lomber cerrahi
dekompresyonun da instabiliteye neden olabileceği ve buna bağlı olarak da
synovial kistlerin gelişebileceği unutulmamalıdır. Bu duruma engel olmak için
minimal invaziv cerrahi yaklaşımların tercih edilmesi gerekmekte, instabilite
izlenen vakalara da füzyon cerrahisi uygulanmalıdır.
