Abstract

Endoskopik paranazal sinüs cerrahisi (EPSC) sık uygulanan bir yöntemdir. Rinore, pnömosefali, subaraknoid kanama, menenjit ve optik sinir yaralanmaları, oluşabilecek belli başlı büyük komplikasyonlar arasında sayılabilir. Burada endoskopik paranazal sinüs cerrahisi sonrası gelişen pnömosefali olgusu sunulmakta ve literatür bilgileri yeniden gözden geçirilmektedir. Endoskopik endonazal polip cerrahisi sık uygulanan cerrahi girişimler arasında sayılmaktadır. Nazal kavite ve paranazal sinüslerin kafa kaidesi ile olan anatomik yakınlığı nedeniyle cerrahi girişim sonrası kafa kaidesiyle ilişkili yapıları ilgilendiren birtakım komplikasyonlar gelişebilmektedir. Bu komplikasyonlar arasında rinore, pnömosefali, subaraknoid kanama, menenjit ve optik sinir yaralanmaları belli başlıcalarıdır (Toselli ve ark., 1991).
