Rectus Sheath Rupture and Hematoma Due to Taking the Shuttle

Öz

Acute abdominal pain is one of the common causes of visiting emergency departments. Rectus sheath hematoma (RSH) is a relatively uncommon condition that causes acute abdominal pain. RSH is a well-documented clinical condition that is difficult to recognize. The predisposing factors of RSH include anticoagulant therapy, hematological disorders, trauma, physical exercise, coughing, sneezing, pregnancy and hypertension. The most common predisposing factor is anticoagulant therapy. Here, we present a pediatric case with RSH and rectus sheath rupture after minor trauma (taking the shuttle).

Öz

Özet: Akut karın ağrısı acil servis başvuruların sık nedenlerinden biridir. Rektus kılıf hematomu (RKH) akut karın ağrısında, nispeten nadir görülen bir durumdur. RKH tanınması zor, fakat iyi belgelenmiş klinik bir durumdur. Travma, antikoagülan ilaçlar, cilt altı ilaç enjeksiyonları, hematolojik ve kanama bozukluğu hastalıkları, ıkınma ile karın içi basınç artması, gebelik ve hipertansiyon gibi çeşitli nedenlere bağlı oluşabilir. En sık predispozan faktör antikoagülan tedavisidir. Biz minör travma (mekik çekme) sonrası RKH ve rektus kılıf rüptürü gelişen pediyatrik bir vaka sunuyoruz.
