Spor Yapan ve Yapmayan Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Olumlu Sosyal Davranış Eğilimlerinin İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu
çalışmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin cinsiyet, öğretim türü ve spor
yapma değişkenlerine göre sosyal davranış eğilimlerinin belirlenmesidir.
Araştırmaya Selçuk Üniversitesinin farklı fakültelerinden tesadüfî örnekleme
yöntemiyle seçilmiş 153 kadın, 151 erkek toplam 304 öğrenci katılmıştır.
Verilerin elde edilmesinde, “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve “Olumlu Sosyal Davranış
Eğilimi Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin tanımlayıcı istatistikleri yapılarak,
homojenlik ve varyansları kontrol edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde Independent
t test kullanılmıştır. Üniversite öğrencilerinin olumlu sosyal davranış
eğilimlerinin duygusal, gizli, acil, kamusal ve itaatkar alt boyutlarında
cinsiyet, öğretim türü ve spor yapma durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılıklar
tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bu çalışma kapsamında elde edilen bulgular,
pek çok sosyal davranışın yordayıcısı olan sporun spor yapan üniversite
öğrencilerinin kazanma içgüdüsüyle mücadele ettikleri sportif faaliyetlerinde
de etkili olduğu ancak etkinin hiçbir alt boyutta sporcuya yansımadığı
görülmüş, buna neden olarak olumlu sosyal davranışların spor alanında
uygulanılabilirliğinin sporcu başarısını olumsuz etkileyeceği inancından
kaynaklanabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Investigation of Positive Social Behavior Tendency of University Students Doing Sports or not

Öz

The aim of this
study is to determine the social behavior tendencies of university students
according to gender, type of education and doing sports variables. 153 female
and 151 male totally 304 students were chosen through random sampling method
different faculties of Selcuk University. “Personal Information Form” and “Positive
Social Behavior Tendency Scale” were used to obtain data. Descriptive
statistics of the data were made and homogeneity and variance were checked.
Independent t test was used to analyze the data. Significant differences were
determined in terms of gender, type of education and doing sports in emotional,
secret, urgent, public and obedient sub-dimensions of positive social behavior
tendencies of university students. In conclusion, the findings obtained from
this study showed that sports, which is the predictor of many social behaviors,
was effective in sports activities of sports students who struggled with
winning instinct but the effect was not reflected to any sub-dimension
athletes. It may be due to the belief that it will affect negatively.
