Erythema ab igne induced by a laptop computer
Abstract
Background: Erythema ab igne (EAI) is a reticular, pigmented dermatosis, occuring after long-term exposure to infrared radiation that is insufficient to produce a burn. Only few case report is founded in literature about laptop computer-induced erythema ab igne.
Material & Method: A rare case presented here who had laptop computer-induced EAI on her left thigh.
Conclusion: We present this case to raise awareness of this rare source of EAI that is likely to become more common as the use of laptops increases.
