Aim & Scope

Prepared by the Mediterranean Civilisations Research Institute, Cedrus aims to be an interdisciplinary periodical that will provide a basis for discussion for experts in Ancient, Medieval and Modern and Contemporary history who study the cultural-historical accumulation of the Mediterranean Basin in the perspective of the historical geography of Türkiye. CEDRUS aims to present original and scientific studies that will contribute to the development of dialogue between scholars from different disciplines, updating and dissemination of existing knowledge. CEDRUS is an international, peer-reviewed journal published annually.

Cedrus is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Mediterranean Civilisations Research Institute. It covers the publications of experts in Ancient, Medieval and Modern and Contemporary  history who examine the cultural-historical accumulation of the Mediterranean Basin in the perspective of the historical geography of Türkiye.

The issue of the relevant year publishes a maximum of 25 articles, with article acceptance dates falling between 15th October and 1st May. As of October 2024, Cedrus will accept articles only in foreign languages.
