My research interests focus on Emergency Department (ED) overcrowding, reasons for using the ED for non-urgent childhood illnesses, and developing interventions to reduce non-urgent ED visits. My PhD study, at Queen’s University Belfast, focused on exploring parents’ reasons for using the ED for their children with non-urgent conditions in the context of middle-income countries. My methodological expertise include systematic reviews and qualitative methods.
