Diagnosis and Management of Dissemine İntravascular Coagulation

Abstract

The primary objective of this review is to define disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), which is a complication associated with a range of traumatic and non-traumatic conditions, and to provide insights into its underlying pathophysiology. Additionally, this review aims to emphasise the importance of early recognition of DIC, particularly in cases of thrombotic or haemorrhagic complications, and to highlight the benefits of prompt anticoagulant, blood product, and cryoprecipitate treatment in improving prognosis.
