High-riding superior pericardial recess: A diagnostic pitfall

Superior pericardial recess is typically incidentally found on chest CT imaging. It may simulate a hypodense lymphadenopathy or a cystic mass. The superior pericardial recess is an anatomical entity that both radiologists and respiratory physicians should know.
