Sjögren sendromlu bir hastada tümör bağımsız CA 19-9 yüksekliği ve hastalık aktivasyonu ve tedavi ile ilişkisi

Özet
Elli üç yaşında bir bayan eklem ağrıları, yorgunluk, kilo kaybı ve Raynaud fenomeni nedeni ile başvurdu. İzlemde, kserostomi ve göz kuruluğu gelişti. Schirmer's testi anormal idi. Sjögren sendromu tanısı, anti-nükleer antikorlar ve minör tükrük bezi biyopsi bulgularının histolojik bulguları ile doğrulandı. CA 19-9 düzeyi yüksek olan hastada, kanser tanısı dışlandı. Sjögren sendromu tedavisi sonrası CA 19-9 düzeyi düştü. Klinik ve laboratuvar bulgular CA 19-9 yüksekliğinin Sjögren sendromu aktivasyonu ile ilişkili olabileceğini ve tedavi ile düzeldiğini düşündürmektedir.

Abstract
A 53-year-old women presented with joint tenderness, fatigue, weight loss and Raynaud phenomenon. At the follow-up, xerostomia and dry eyes developed. Schirmer's test was abnormal. The diagnosis of Sjögren’s syndrome was confirmed by anti-nuclear antibodies and the histological findings of minor salivatory gland biopsy. In patient with the elevated CA 19-9 level, malignancy was ruled out. After the treatment of Sjögren’s syndrome, the level of CA 19-9 decreased. The clinical and laboratory findings suggested that the elevation of CA 19-9 may be associated with the activation of Sjögren’s syndrome and improved with its treatment.
