In vitro sitotoksisite çalışmaları  MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-468 hazır kanser hücre serilerine karşı “Tripan mavisi ekstraksiyon yöntemi” kullanılarak yapılmıştır.

Abstract

Aim. Plants are well known source of some antineoplastic drugs. In this study, we investigated the antineoplastic potential of some plant extracts which are endemic in Sivas. Methods. In vitro cytotoxicity studies were performed with “Trypan blue exclusion assay” against MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-468 cell lines. Results. After these studies, we detected hopeful antitumoral activities in Salvia cryptantha, Ferula Orientalis, Allium sivasicum, Helichrysum arenarium subsp. aucheri, Thymus pectinatus, Tanacetum parthenium, Achillea teretifolia, Pelargonium endlicherianum, Origanum acutidens, Melissa officinalis, Berberis vulgaris, Rhodiola rosae and Urtica dioica extracts. Conclusion. Further studies on these plant extracts were needed. The agents which will be detected at the end of those studies,  may be helpful in the treatment of some cancer patients or useful in the chemoprevention of cancer.

Keywords: Cancer, antineoplastic, plant extracts
