Delusional parasitosis also known as psychogenic parasitosis is a rare chronic psychiatric disorder characterized with delusion of parasitic infection without any medical evidence. Etiology is unknown but it is suggested that decrease in striatal dopamine transporter function may plays role in etiology. Our cases were 39 years old father and 12 years old boy presented with complaints of common pruritus and circulating of parasites on their skin. Diagnosis was delusional parasitosis. Any other diseases and parasites were not detected by physical examination and laboratory investigations. Although it is a psychiatric disorder it is important because patients usually visit dermatologist for the situation. We report these cases to emphasize the importance of that delusional parasitosis may presents in many patients of same family and these cases should be consulted to psychiatry clinics.
